The store is owned and operated by Bullfrog International, LC, a world leader in spa manufacturing based in Bluffdale, Utah. Founded in 1996 and with over 250 independent retailers throughout North America, Bullfrog is one of the fastest growing hot tub brands in the industry. Featuring the patented JetPak System, Bullfrog Spas has become the market leader in innovation and technology.

In April of 2006, Bullfrog International opened its very first company-owned retail outlet in Orem, Utah to better service the high demand for its product in Utah county and surrounding communities. As a stand-alone retail satellite location, The Bullfrog Spas Factory Outlet in Orem displays and sells each Bullfrog Spa model currently available at factory-direct prices. The store is also the exclusive retailer in Utah County of top brands which include SpaGuard Chemicals, The Big Green Egg Smoker/Grills, The Holland Grill, Bad Byron’s Butt Rub, Off-the-Wall Umbrellas and Visscher Gazebos – all at outlet prices. As a true outlet store, customers enjoy everyday discounts of between 5-25% off retail prices and the outlet maintains huge inventory levels of chemicals, accessories and grills.

In addition to being a high-volume discount outlet, the store has adopted an unprecedented customer loyalty program that offers customers who buy their spa at the store an on-going 20% discount on all future purchases! This discount is valid on every product sold in the store to reward customers who purchase their spa at the outlet store in Orem.

The Bullfrog Spas Factory Outlet store is managed by Rusty Owen, who joined Bullfrog International in December, 1999. Rusty has gained significant experience in the hot tub industry and has devoted many years to the success of Bullfrog, working in the sales, marketing, advertising and now retail sales departments.

In the spring of 2001, while directing Bullfrog’s marketing, advertising, dealer sales training and trade show efforts, Rusty was assigned the task of opening a retail showroom within the original factory location in Sandy, Utah. While the showroom in the old factory wasn’t anything fancy and way off the beaten path in an industrial part of town, the factory showroom became an instant success and sales began to skyrocket in the Salt Lake area. Sales to local customers in Utah soon became a significant source of revenue for Bullfrog and this little 24’ by 72” showroom quickly became the largest spa retailer along the Wasatch front.

The factory showroom became a testing ground to learn how to succeed as a Bullfrog dealer in any given market. Rusty began to share these ideas with other dealers around the country by consulting with them in their advertising. Rusty assisted dozens of dealers by designing and placing ads for them and they also began to experience significant success by running more effective advertisements in their markets.

As Bullfrog International continued to grow, it moved into its current state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Bluffdale and required a restructuring of its sales department. Rusty spent the next several years as a Regional Sales Manager, responsible for setting up new dealers and training them in an 11-state region.

Then in 2005, when the dealer he had signed in Orem (Majestic Waters) got into financial trouble and went out of business, Rusty approached the company founder and president, David Ludlow with the recommendation that the company open Bullfrog-owned retail outlets in Utah and Davis/Weber counties. By doing so, Bullfrog could to capitalize on the huge amount of advertising already being spent along the Wasatch Front and local independent dealers wouldn’t have to compete with the factory-direct prices being advertised. After months of conducting market research, Bullfrog’s board of directors approved the venture and assigned Rusty to move forward with opening the company’s first satellite store in Utah County which came to a realization in April 2006.

The Bullfrog Spas Factory Outlet in Orem now holds a significant share of the hot tub market in Utah County and is rapidly emerging as an elite BBQ grill retailer. As the exclusive dealer in Utah County for the Big Green Egg and Holland brands, the outlet store is committed to providing those who desire to be the best outdoor cook with the best, most versatile BBQ grills available on the market today.
